“Sana magkaroon ng magic, at makuha nila ang mga championship this year”.

That is the aspiration of Office of Culture and the Arts (OCA) Director Rowell E. Cruz, for the 203 student-artist delegates of Pampanga State University (PampangaStateU) who are currently showcasing the Honorian talent at the CAASUC III Regional Culture and Arts Festival (RCAF).

According to the director, they are hoping to bag more championships not only to earn their ticket for the national competition next year, but to also reap the fruit of the delegates’ four-months hard work.

“This year, of course our expectation is still the same so that we can bag more championships this year because next year, we will have a national competition. We are hoping that our delegates from PSU can claim their prizes for the hard work that they have been doing for the past four months already,” he said.

He also added while the majority of PampangaStateU’s delegation this year is composed of first year students, they still have hopes of securing a spot in the podium. “Most of our students are first year, as young as they are, we are looking at future potentials na rin and of course may chance naman din tayong manalo this year, we are hoping for that. At kung hindi man, atleast mahaba pa natin silang makakasama and maite-train,” he shared.

Meanwhile, the opening parade, and program of the RCAF officially commenced today, November 24 at the Brenz Z. Guiao Multi-purpose center, Pampanga State Agricultural University.

As of press time, the university already bagged two golds, one bronze and two 5th placer from yesterday’s sets of competition category.
