Offering an energetic preview of the region’s talent and competitive spirit, the first batch of contests for the CAASUC III Regional Culture and Arts Festival (RCAF) 2025 wrapped up today, November 23, at Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) in Magalang, Pampanga.

Delegates from state universities and colleges across Central Luzon showcased their skills across 13 competitions, highlighting their creativity and talent in visual arts, performing arts, and music.

Pampanga State University celebrated a double triumph, as two of its delegates earned tickets to the national competition by winning championship titles in their respective categories: An Nicole Dela Peña in Instrumental Solo Violin and Emerson Cabaltica in Pencil Drawing.

Other notable winners included Franz Louise Faustino, 2nd runner up in Charcoal Rendering; Ezra Ibe, 4th runner-up in Banduria Solo Instrumental Play; and Fernandino Ariel Rosario, 4th runner-up in Painting, all demonstrating their Honorian talent.

The Silaya Dance Troupe, despite falling short in the Contemporary Dance category, made a strong impact with a performance that highlighted their stand against corruption.

Similarly, the Venturas energized the stage in the Street Dance category with a lively OPM number, while the Gintung Siuála singers delivered a moving rendition of Hallelujah in the Standard Chorale and a spirited performance of Magda in the Show Choir competition.

Moreover, among the individual participants were Chester Chaz Pineda in Classical Guitar, John Ber Talao in the Photo Contest, and Mart Lawrence Tolentino in Piano, who, despite not placing, delivered commendable performances in their respective fields.

This regional event, which brings together the most talented individuals from state universities and colleges across the region, will run for five days and is set to officially open tomorrow, November 24.
